We has a most enjoyable whole school assembly today which focused on the theme of respect. Our second classes of Brian’s and Naomi’s students took on the majority of the work. Together with our student teacher Dan, the classes prepared a specially written song and a rap for the occasion. There were also some very thoughtful poems and mime demonstrations by the students to show their views on respect and how we might be respectful of others. Dermot presented some students from each class with a certificate commending them on the efforts at being respectful towards others. The newly formed Student Council introduced themselves to the rest of the school and gave their insights as to what the Student Council will do this year. Many of the children in school today came dressed in fancy-dress costume and this brought great excitement. We hope that the excitement carries though for Halloween and the mid-term break and that everyone is considerate of safety particularly around fireworks and bonfires.

We will see you all back on Monday the 6th of November.
